But trying to snack on these delicious mollusks may prove dangerous, as the beaches are also home to sand-burrowing Tidal Crabs. With rocky-textured concave shells, these crabs are indistinguishable from regular tide pools as they lie in wait for unsuspecting prey. Creatures looking for an easy meal might just find themselves in the clutches of the Tidal Crab's powerful claws. These giant crustaceans bear many similarities to the Miner Crabs of the Tormek Mountains, leading researchers to believe they may be distantly related.
