Inhabitaing the rivers of the Severed Wilds jungle is the Lotus Lurker. A fascinating aquatic reptile, this creature has a long neck and streamline body with an elongated, narrow snout containing many sharp, interlocking teeth. The legs are short and wide making them more adept at swimming rather then walking on land. Its back is covered in hard bony scales called scutes, but the most prominent feature of this reptile is its nose which resembles a native aquatic flower. Research suggest the appendage seems to serve multiple purposes. Working both as a prominent display feature to attract the opposite sex as well as a lure to draw prey close to the edge of the river within striking distance.
