Diminutive cephalopods, no larger than the palm of one's hand, yet possess remarkable ingenuity and adaptability within their coral-dwelling colonies. With their sharp beaks, they meticulously carve intricate burrows into coral structures, employing a distinctive corkscrew motion that creates interconnecting tunnels inhabited by hundreds of individuals.

These resourceful creatures have evolved a curious adaptation to conceal themselves from predators while surveying their surroundings. Atop their heads, they sport peculiar appendages resembling native plants, which they can extend from their burrows to observe the world outside while remaining safely hidden. An unmistakable sign of a Coral Carver colony infestation is the presence of hundreds of small holes dotting the surface of coral trees.

Though they subsist solely on the coral trees themselves, Coral Carvers can exhibit surprising aggression if their habitat is disturbed. Their segmented bodies afford them exceptional flexibility, allowing them to expand along their seams and harness the wind like a parachute to float short distances when migrating to new coral trees

This CR1/4 creature is called a Coral Carver and is a Beast that lives mostly within the Coral Jungle.
