Unlike ordinary creatures, Bale Wails do not require physical sustenance; instead, they feed on negative emotions and lingering resentments. Legends say they were created by Tenebre, the god of darkness, to serve as sentinels of the shadowed realms. Hidden beneath their expansive wings are countless watchful eyes—some believe they are the eyes of Tenebre himself, while others think these eyes allow the Bale Wails to see beyond the physical world and into the emotions they devour.
